Artisan & IT Chick
I feel very honored to be here at ScrappyCraft. Not only am I building new websites for SC & Gid-De-Up, and repairing the existing ones, I get to be surrounded by awesome artists from all over southern Oregon and beyond.
A fantastic working environment, and outstanding co-workers. This is the place to come and hang out. Many, many times have I heard folks come in and whisper half to the themselves, “I am like a kid in a candy store” and I have to giggle, as I feel exactly the same way!
I am available for one on one tutoring for Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Sketching/Drawing. I have a BS in Art from SOU.

Later that evening from 6:00 – 8:00pm we enjoyed a wonderful workshop and book signing; COPIC MARKERS I & II by Copic Marker Extraordinaire: Marianne Walker. It was awesome to learn about the markers, and several techniques that included add texture, shading, and air brushing with these amazing markers. Thank You to all who came down, and a HUGE Thank You to Marianne.
Amy(left) & Wruby, inseparable!
“I consider myself to be ‘one of the lucky ones’. Everyday, I load my dog Wruby, into the car and head to ScrappyCraft, (a.k.a Work) I clock in, and start my day of ‘work’. I get to socialize with like minded people and artist, bouncing ideas off of each other, learning new techniques and different ways to utilize products. I create sample cards with our new exciting papers that come in. I stamp, I scrapbook, I paint, and I make jewelry. I do all of these fun projects while I am at ‘work’! I love my job! It also give me inspiration for when I get home, to work on my OWN art. I like projects that are short and sweet and I love TEXTURE, so Mixed Media is what I spend my free time doing. There isn’t a wrong way to any guidelines so I am able to feel confident in all my art.

Tim Holtz has finally brought his Distress line to pen form in 37 glorious colors. At first glance Distress Markers appear to be just your standard pen. They have a brush tip on one end, and a fine detail point on the other. This is my preferred tip selection for dual-tip pens as it allows me to do larger areas and color stamps easily, as well as to write or do small areas. What makes these Distress pens stand out is that they behave exactly as Tim’s Distress ink pads and stains do. They blend with each other, are reactive with water, and can be used in any of the same ways or with the same techniques that you would use with the existing Distress line. This is really great because it means users don’t have to learn a whole new set of techniques.
